Welcome to Ezenz, a non-profit organization based in Germany dedicated to encouraging and enhancing Indo-German socio-cultural dialogue. Since 2023, Ezenz has served as a catalyst in promoting Indic cultural activities to enrich understanding of both cultures.

The aim is to create inclusiveness and cohesion among the people. Our activities extend from educational efforts through cultural workshops, exchanges between academics and intellectuals, to publishing opinions. We also sponsor studies, research, and analysis on relevant topics. This foster understanding between communities, enabling reciprocal respect and deeper appreciation.

In a globalized economy, Germany remains a prime destination for highly skilled professionals—including many from India. As the 2025 federal election approaches, the manifestos of Germany’s major political parties provide insights into future policies on migration, integration, labor market regulations, and economic strategy. These policies will play a crucial role in shaping the professional landscape for foreign experts. This study compares the manifestos of leading parties—the Social Democratic Party (SPD), the Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU), Alliance 90/The Greens, Free Democratic Party (FDP), Alternative for Germany (AfD), and Die Linke—and discusses factors that may affect qualified Indian professionals either positively or negatively.

Immigration of Professionals from India; A Success Story for Germany

According to a 2022 report by the German Economic Institute, there was already a deficit of about 320,000 STEM specialists. This shortage is exacerbated by the simultaneous retirement of engineers and technical specialists and an impending departure of baby boomers from the labour market. A recent study also shows at least a 6% decrease in STEM university enrolments just within a year. All this compounded by the increasing demand of workforce for Germany’s digital and green transformation is forcing the country to look for skilled workers from abroad to stabilize its economy.

Our Satyajit Ray Movie screening at KarlstorKino was a great success with participation from an eminent crowd including Heidelberg University department heads, professors, music composers, students, professionals, etc, and a great discussion on the movie towards the end with participation from the audience!
